The bastion (turret) Gradenigo is located at the corner of the western and northern directions of the town walls. It was built in 1498 by walling up a medieval tower in the Venetian style by adding cordon wreaths and a very slight escarpment. In the parapet wall on the top of the bastion are located gunnery and loopholes, arranged between four arched openings. The platform for the cannons is built over a stronger Romanesque vault with lateral spherical niches for the doulas on the ground of the bastion. In the central part, a guard with a loophole is located above the coat of arms with a winged lion.
