The original medieval tower is located on the southwest side of the town walls with the flanking battlements towards the sea and the main gate. Bastion Murava is powerful in mass and form and does not contain emphasized aesthetic stylization. During the earthquake of 1979, it completely cracked. However, it was restored to its original state with an accentuated connection of the separated wall masses.
