The Murava gate is located on the southern town wall. This passage connects the inner part of the town with a beach, that is access to the sea.
24. Iron Gate
The Iron gate is recorded in the sources as ‘Porta di spedali’. This gate was built in recent history, during the Austro-Hungarian occupation. As the name suggests, they served as the doors of the military hospital, so that it could be entered directly from the Old Town.
